A Room Inspired by Charles Faudree

I’ve been reading up on the beautiful interiors of the late Charles Faudree who was well known for his elaborate yet down-to-earth Country French style.  Charles Faudree managed to make a room beyond inviting in a time when the design of many living and dining rooms were untouchable and unthinkable to actually relax in.  If you love Interior Design and beautiful spaces you would thoroughly enjoy these books on the work of Charles Faudree.

Today, I recreated one of my most favorite rooms (actually more like a slice of the room) by Charles Faudree.  I have had this in my design archives for awhile now.  I want to lighten up from all the wood tones in our living room and I think this Lucite table is the perfect option.  Finding vintage Lucite in good condition is difficult because it usually comes with a fair amount of scratches so I would opt for a new one.  Of course blue and white jars is a must in my living room but breaking up the blue and white with the palm leaves is a great idea.  The beautiful crystal column, french daybed and Louis XV salon chair gives it that “welcome to my Parisian apartment” feel I’d love to channel.  Until Tomorrow! ~GG
