Southern Living Magazine

I’m so excited to be writing this post. I didn’t think within such a short time of starting my website that I would be able to say a product of mine is being showcased in a magazine I grew up reading (and still do to this day).  Southern Living showcased my French Blue Opaline Goblets on the cover of their May 2018 Issue! This was the ultimate surprise and compliment. It then continued on to www.ginaglavin.com receiving a mention (and not at the back of the magazine either!). What a thrill to be in the company of such beautiful and well-known products .

I absolutely love how they used it with the pops of greens.  Such a beautiful table setting.

My love for Opaline glass has been around for many years. It started with Milk Glass. I got such a thrill finding those beautiful white hobnails at the thrift stores for a mere $1. In fact, I started a website called “Got Milk Glass” but it was eventually shut down for infringement on the trademark “Got Milk”. Can you believe!? I was selling on OneKingsLane.com and I was having such a blast doing it.

Then, I started to notice the Blue Milk Glass and eventually settled on obsessing over French Opaline. I still love American made Milk Glass. Fenton Hobnail is one of my favorites and still remains to this day. However, the French Opaline is truly going through a resurgence and I love being a part of it. My glass has been purchased by many well known Interior Designers throughout the past couple of months and I really enjoy seeing it pop up in their photographed work.

I just wanted to end this post by saying you should truly follow your passion. Whatever is pulling at your heart. You know what it is but you might not be ready to address it. If you do find you are contemplating what it is you are actually doing with your career, my advice is to take that risk. Take that risk because I can guarantee in the end it will be worth it. Until Next Time ~GG

A special Thank You to Southern Living Magazine!!
